BMW 4 Series:
For 428i 2.0l Turbo models with 180 kW the rear silencer can be mounted on their own. No adaptor is needed in order to mount the rear silencer! For 420i 2.0l Turbo models with 120 kW or 135 kW only the complete exhaust system can be mounted! For models without a standard M-rear apron, we recommend using the original BMW 435i rear apron with cut out for 1x tailpipe LH+RH when mounting the rear silencer BMWF30-Q90R(S) or BMWF30-K/Q90R/C. For vehicles with a standard M-rear apron we recommend using the rear valance insert BMWF32-HE1 or BMWF32-HE2 when mounting the rear silencer BMWF30-Q… or BMWF30-K/Q…

Using the remote control AG/FB-EP, the exhaust flap can be opened manually. It will be opened permanently afterwards. Not permitted in public road traffic! The remote control is included when purchasing the rear silencers with exhaust flap!
Function of the valve control:
A special control unit monitors the vehicle’s speed If the speed exceeds a fixed value (70 km/h), the exhaust flap’s servomotor receives a signal to open. The exhaust gas flow is then bypassed and you get a different sound. If the speed of the vehicle drops below the fixed value (70 km/h), the exhaust flap closes again automatically.

Important note on installing Bastuck components:
Please note that Bastuck sports exhaust systems are generally designed for optimal performance with larger pipe diameters and adapted pipe runs.
Possible adjustments:
- Due to the different dimensions and pipe routing compared to standard systems, adjustments may be necessary during installation.
- Since Bastuck has developed certain components (e.g., center silencers) as part of a complete exhaust system, smooth integration into standard systems is not always guaranteed.
- Possible adjustments may affect the length and/or bends of the pipes.
Recommendation for installation by a specialist workshop:
Bastuck strongly recommends having installation carried out by a qualified specialist workshop. This specialist workshop has the necessary expertise and equipment to professionally carry out any necessary adjustments and ensure an optimal fit.
